H.E Jeannette Kagame has noted that Rwandans should thank God for the fact that Rwanda was able to recover from the Genocide against Tutsis against all odds and go on to achieve great things in the almost 26 years since that great tragedy.

The First Lady made the remarks during the National Prayer Breakfast Function on Sunday.

This is the 25th Annual National Prayer Breakfast Function to be held in Rwanda, the first held in 1995 at a time when many doubted the country would ever fully recover from the 1994 Tutsi Genocide, but it did.

Participants at the Function, both Rwandan Nationals and Foreigners, commended the initiative.

Dignitaries present pointed out that it is not surprising that Rwanda is developing at such a rapid pace, when you consider the promises God makes to those who seek to do his will.

This year's National Prayer Breakfast focused on promoting Godly values in Leadership.
