Prime Minister Ngirente meets farmers, educators in Kamonyi district

This Wednesday, Prime Minister, Dr Édouard Ngirente concluded his two-day visit to the Southern Province where he visited the Districts of Kamonyi and Gisagara. 

Ngirente visited the Runda Vocational Training School and also visited another Vocational Training School prior to that, St Bernard's in Gacurabwenge Sector.

Premier Ngirente also toured Mukunguri Marshland that sits right in between Kamonyi and Ruhango Districts and is cultivated by 2,100 Farmers and they presented to him the challenges they face, even though they have been making impressive progress in their agricultural activities.

The Prime Minister also visited the Chicken Farmer Benoit Twagirumukiza with his more than 35,000 Chickens that produce at least 30,000 Eggs daily and also provide up to 20,000 tons of manure every day for other agricultural activities.

He uses the manure on his Tea Plantation in Nyamasheke District. 

Ngirente then visited a Daycare Center in Nyarubaka Sector that is located in building donated by a retired teacher, Pascal Ndayisaba, who provided the building as a way of supporting the Government's National Early Childhood Development Program.

The visits to the Districts of Kamonyi and Gisagara by the Prime Minister sought to address these and other issues in the Southern Province.
