First Lady hosts 200 children to a Christmas Party at Village Urugwiro

First Lady Jeannette Kagame on Sunday hosted the Annual End of Year Children's Party at Village Urugwiro and children from across the country got to interact with each other and have fun, while also listening to the achievements of their peers.

More than 200 children between the ages of 7 and 12 gathered at Village Urugwiro for the party, and in addition to playing, eating cakes and an assortment of our goodies, they also got to hear of the achievements of some among them.

The children also showcased other talents they possess, such as singing and poetry recital. District Authorities and parents who accompanied the children to the event commended the First Lady for taking the initiative to organize the party, saying it truly helps the children in their development, with a number of them from vulnerable families and living with disabilities.

The children also expressed gratitude for being able to participate.

Every child was also given scholastic materials and a sports kit.
