Teachers have been urged to educate students on the history of the country without fear for them to know how far the country has come and therefore contribute to the development of the country the comprehensively know its history. This was mentioned by the state minister in the ministry of education during a civic engagement training for history teachers in Nyanza district.
1623 secondary school history teachers gathered in Nyanza district in national civic education training. They learn about the quality of education based on the historical heritage of the country.
Some of the teachers mentioned that they didn't share similar thoughts and information on the history of Rwanda which in most cases created controversy and confused students.
After this training which started on January 3, 2020, the teachers look forward to educating students with similar information countrywide, using new teaching materials and doing away with colonial books.
